There were a couple of changes from last week Shaun Jardine was back in the 2nd row, replacing Neil Ruecroft, Matt Ross at No.8 replacing Dean Clarke with Jake Woods still injured. Joe Lavin and Ben Sparke swapped positions, Ben to scrum half and Joe to full back and the experienced Ben Toleman replaced Cameron Penny on the wing.
With Garstang dominating possession for much of the game, the Hoylake defense kept their focus and with not long to go Hoylake came back from behind to level the scores 17 – 17 at full time.
A god result on the road which keeps Hoylake at the top of the table a point clear of Garstang, neither side having lost this season.
