Details patch due to volume of action but serf ice to say that another mismatch was played in great spirit with Sefton playing with guts and passion to the end of the 2x 30 minute halves.
The game started with Sefton kicking to Hoylake, The catcher off-loading to Andy Minks who ran 60 m with the ball and scored under the posts virtually unopposed fore the 1st of his three tries of the day. And thus the tone of the game was set. The first half saw a total of 8 trys 4 converted
The second half brought Adam Raftery into the back row for his first senior game in his preferred position, and the young flanker soon lotted up his first senior hat-trick. Well done Adam, tries also for Andy Smith and the ubiquitous Kev Jones . Man of the match though was Matty Ross who started at 13 and switched to 10 for the 2nd half totalling 5 trys and 4 conversions.
A senior debut was also made by James Sanderson who put a wonderful throw into the line on his first and only lineout. 100% Sando.
Again respect to Sefton for the manner in which they played to the end, with Spirit and conviction despite the scoreline their heads stayed up.
